Mena Alexandera is an American actor, model and fashion designer. She was born on 13 February 1979. After a brief stint as a fashion model before moving into acting, appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s, and High Incident. Her first film role in the 1997 drama Nowhere. She made the transition to major roles with her performances as a character in American Beauty for which she was nominated for the BAFTA Award and American Pie each of which garnered the attention of the world. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000) which was a co-production with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the role of the title character in Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun as well as Trauma a thriller movie from 2004 featured two of her performances. She also starred in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2005 as part of the Outstanding Ensemble. In 2008, she was part of several films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh or the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari is featured in a variety of blog and fashion publications, including Vogue. Suvari is also a Lancome model as well as appearing in the advertisements printed in Lancome Paris Adaptive. She has backed and served as an advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation over the years.
