Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as reporter for WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers in response to DUI cases in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston reporting, was a anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving into Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She has reported on the events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Programs during The Emmys. She also co-hosted the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
